Change Start With "Is"

Circular Economy and Sustainability in companies

To put the change process in the right direction, you must recognize the real situation of your organization . According to Mr. Ichak Adizes approach, a Venn diagram can be very useful: Indicating what the company should be/do, what the company wants to be/do, and what the company really is/do.

"The question is: Are we doing what we should because the stockholders or consultants tell us to do so? Or should we do what we want?

Or do we tackle what needs to be done because the situation calls for it?"

It is difficult to differentiate between the three, but for change to happen you must start with "Is". Every change should start with understanding what the situation really "Is" . The mistake is that we usually start with "should" or what we "want" and ignore what “is” happening.

But how do you get an objective perspective of the reality? Asking for feedback to customers, stay in touch with them as often as you possibly can. Is there anything more strategic than listening to the voice of our customers?
